Galileo

Galileo is an agentic loan origination system. Specialist AI agents read each application, its documents and your credit policy, and recommend an outcome with the evidence behind it. A person with the right authority signs.

Design your loan products

Your team designs each loan product in Galileo, and changes it when your lending changes.

  • Set the terms, eligibility, pricing, fees and documents for each product.
  • Design the application form, the workflow, the rules and the scorecards.
  • Or describe the product in plain words to the design assistant. It drafts the product and asks only what it cannot work out from your words.
  • Every change is saved as a new version.
  • A second person approves each version before it serves applications.
  • Run a sample application through a product to see how it would be treated.
Galileo · Describe a new product
The design assistant. On the left, a lender describes a personal loan for salaried people in plain words, and the assistant restates the product and asks one question it cannot work out. On the right, a panel titled The product so far lists each answer with the words it came from.

Your credit policy, in a library the agents search

Your credit policy is loaded into a policy library and split into passages. Each underwriting run is given the passages closest to the application in front of it.

  • Search the library with a question in plain words, and see the passage that applies.
  • Each passage keeps the section heading and the policy version it came from.
  • Each decision records the policy version it was made under.
Galileo · Policy library
The policy library. A search for 'What if the applicant changed employer recently?' returns passages of the lender's consumer lending credit policy, led by the section on income and its evidence, each with its section heading and a link to open the policy.

Rules and scorecards that cite your policy

Your rules are a list your team can read. Each rule is a knockout or a referral, with the check it makes, its reason in plain words, and the policy section it follows.

  • Rules and scorecards are inputs the agents weigh.
  • A rule never approves or declines an application on its own.
  • Each rule cites the section of your policy it follows.
Galileo · Rules
A product's rules as a numbered list: old enough to borrow, lives where the product lends, affordable with enough left each month, share of income going to credit, and age when the loan ends. Each is marked as a knockout or a referral, with the condition it checks.

Galileo · Rule
One rule's reason in plain words: what is left each month after tax, housing, commitments, living costs and every repayment, compared with the minimum the lender requires. Below, under Rests on, the rule cites the affordability section of the lender's credit policy.

A workflow for every product

Each product has its own origination workflow: the steps every application takes, in order, and where each outcome leads.

  • Steps that run by themselves, steps that wait, steps the agents run, and steps a person decides.
  • The decision guardrails step is locked into every workflow. When a guardrail fires, the file goes to a person.
  • Each step shows what it needs, what it gives, and what it rests on.
Galileo · Origination workflow
A product's origination workflow drawn as a graph. In the decision stage, agent steps named Judge, Supervisor, Deliberation and Regulator run in order, with a locked Decision guardrails step and a step where a person intervenes. A side panel explains that the guardrails send the file to a person when one fires.

Agents that reason from evidence

Specialist AI agents read the application, its documents, your policy and your rules, and reason to a recommendation.

  • The documents they read include identity documents, payslips, bank statements, accounts, invoices and valuations.
  • Five agents take part. The Detective verifies who the applicant is. The Analyst reads the money. The Judge makes the credit call. The Supervisor checks the others against the evidence. The Regulator tests the file against policy.
  • Every claim an agent makes must cite evidence. A claim with no evidence is rejected.
  • The reasons name the policy rules they rest on.
  • Every figure is shown with its parts: living costs, existing credit, this loan's repayment, what is left each month, the share of income going to credit, and a stress test at lower income.
Galileo · AI decision
The AI decision on an application: refer to a person, with a confidence figure, the deliberation time, and five agent reports out of five. A panel explains that the decision is a recommendation, not an outcome, and gives the reasons, naming two of the lender's policy rules on affordability and share of income going to credit.

Galileo · Affordability
An affordability table. Each line shows a figure with the parts it was calculated from: living costs, existing credit repayments, this loan's monthly repayment, what is left each month, the share of income going to credit, and what is left each month if income were 20 per cent lower.

People decide

The agents recommend. A person with the right authority signs. Nothing is actioned until they do.

  • Each application moves through intake, underwriting, decision, offer and closing, and funding.
  • The decision card shows what the agents recommend, why, and what is waiting on whom.
  • Approval limits are set by product and by amount.
  • The person signing can set the AI aside and decide the file themselves.
  • The oversight panel shows what the record flagged on the file.
Galileo · Application
An application's progress through six stages: intake and underwriting complete, decision current, then offer and closing, funding, and ended. The decision card reads: Agents recommend, referred to a person. Not final, a person signs. The next action is to sign the credit decision.

Galileo · Human oversight
The human oversight panel on an application. It offers the option to set the agents' output aside and decide the file without the AI, and lists what the record flagged: every model call answered by the configured model, every claim held by its evidence, and the file sent to a person for two reasons.

Every decision on record

Every decision is recorded with its evidence, its reasons, the policy version in force and every signature.

  • The agents' recorded reasoning can be played back step by step, from the run itself.
  • Each step of the replay shows the evidence it cites.
  • The record can be downloaded.
  • A full audit trail is kept for every application.
Galileo · Decision replay
The decision replay for an application referred to a person, with 75 recorded reasoning steps. Five agents are shown with their roles: Detective verifies who the applicant is, Analyst reads the money, Judge makes the credit call, Supervisor checks the others against the evidence, and Regulator tests the file against policy. Below, a transcript plays back each observation with the evidence it cites.

Roles and permissions

  • You define the roles in your organisation.
  • For each role, you set which fields of an application it can see.
  • Approval limits are set by product and by amount.
